Investa launches new ‘insite’ tenant experience app

29 November 2019

Investa this week announced the release of its new ‘insite’ tenant experience app at Sixty Martin Place, Sydney.

The single system interfacing app seamlessly integrates building services, operations, amenities and content to elevate the way tenants interact with the building, to deliver a highly user-centred, occupancy experience.

Investa is the first Australian property company to develop its own app that is completely customised to the needs of its tenants, owners and operations teams.

The app integrates the latest base building technology with its management services and leverages more than five years of learnings from its portfolio-wide insite tenant engagement program.

Developed in conjunction with Willow, creators of the digital twin for the built environment, the app enables users to access the building, call the destination-controlled lifts, book lockers and access the car park from their smart device.

Digital visitor management along with news, events, building notifications, sustainability information and popular e-commerce services, such as food and beverage ordering are also available through the app.

Sally Franklin, Group Executive, Real Estate Services & Business Operations said: “Our objective in developing the insite app is to deliver a better, more integrated occupant experience, tailored to the unique needs of Investa and our owners.

In partnering with digital twin creator Willow, we’ve leveraged the cutting edge building technology in place at recently completed Sixty Martin Place, to create a seamless, technology enabled experience for our tenants as they go about their day, interacting with the base building and engaging with our management team, our services and with each other.

Investa has collaborated with Willow on several market leading digital innovations in recent years, including the early implementation of Building Information Modelling (BIM), to launching Australia’s first digital twin in an operating building at Investa’s 567 Collins Street in Melbourne.

Nathan Lyon, Head of Building Technology, Investa said: “New commercial office towers provide a unique opportunity to implement sophisticated building technology to deliver an enhanced operational and user experience. By combining the key pillars of commerce, community, content and building control, Investa has found an effective way to embed the insite app into the daily needs of our tenants.

Our new insite app, developed in partnership with Willow, will enable us to gather valuable learnings on how our spaces are being used, which collated over a number of years will help shape future developments and existing buildings within our portfolio,” said Mr Lyon.

Like Investa, Willow is committed to continually evolving tenant experience through technology.

Joshua Ridley, Co-Founder and CEO of Willow said: “It’s great to see progressive owners such as Investa taking a leadership position in evolving the experience of tenants in their buildings. Like Willow, Investa is viewing this application as part of a broader, portfolio-wide technology strategy, which includes the integration of this data into a digital twin, smart access control, building dashboard, digital signage and smart sensors.”
