Sunshine Coast: Aged care provider Aveo Group will start construction next month on $60 million project at Palmview on the Sunshine Coast. The 63-unit first stage will create 138 independent living units on a 5.4-hectare site. It will be the third development for ASX-listed Aveo at Sunshine Coast, where the number of senior residents increased 21 per cent over the five years to 2016.—AFR.

Sydney: E-commerce fulfilment company, eStore Logistics, is ramping up its distribution network after striking a deal with developer LOGOS Property for a new $25 million Sydney warehouse. eStore, whose clients include include Kogan.com, Temple & Webster, and Patagonia, will lease a 12,515 square metre warehouse in Marsden Park in Sydney’s outer north-west on an initial five-year deal.—AFR.

Sydney: Global professional services company GHD in partnership with joint venture partner Stantec has been awarded an $14.5 million concept design contract for the proposed raising of Warragamba Dam, which stores approximately 80 percent of Sydney’s drinking water supply. GHD has been working on dams since the company’s birth almost 90 years ago and has designed the Enlarged Cotter Dam, the highest roller-compacted concrete dam in Australia.—Architecture and Design.

South Australia: Budget accommodation provider Gateway Lifestyle has bought two established residential land lease communities in South Australia for $45 million. The two properties combined comprise 555 long-term sites. Of that total 488 are occupied, while the two properties have a pipeline of 67 approved development sites.—AFR.
