SYDNEY: Altis Property has doubled it money with the sale of a large format retail site in Sydney’s west for $46 million, being a record yield of 5.4 per cent.—SMH.

VICTORIA: Melbourne’s Pentagon Group Hotels has bought the management rights and more than half of the freehold apartments in Victoria’s Silverwater Resort for about $25 million.—SMH.

SYDNEY: The Vibe Hotel in Sydney’s Darling Harbour, which only opened its doors for the first time in October, has been sold for $108 million to a Thailand-based buyer. The sale – the first Australian hotel purchase for the buyer – was handled by JLL Hotels & Hospitality Group’s Craig Collins and Andrew Langsford.—JLL.

MORNINGTON PENINSULA: A Mornington Peninsula local has bought the home of a popular Sorrento cafe for $2.55 million, beating the reserve by $250,000. CBRE’s Rorey James, Mark Wizel, Nic Hage and JJ Heng managed the auction campaign for 174 Ocean Beach Road, which operates as The Boss’s Daughter.—AFR.
