SURROUNDING AREA - Ingham is a sugar town, situated on the Bruce Highway, one hours drive north of Townsville and two and a half hours drive to Cairns. It is situated in the southern Wet Tropics area which forms part of the Great Green Way and is an area of great natural beauty with world heritage listed rainforests and Australia's longest sheer drop waterfall, Wallaman Falls. We are the closest caravan park to the Tyto Wetlands, Wallaman Falls, Mt Fox Crater and Broadwater National Park. Other local tourist attractions are the fisherman's meca of Hinchinbrook Channel and Hinchinbrook Island, historic Halifax, nearby beaches of Forrest Beach, Taylors Beach and Lucinda overlooking Orpheus and the Palm Island Group, and Jourama Falls, Crystal Creek and Paluma.
