Gayndah's Big Orange is a Lifestyle business and has been run and owned by my wife and myself for the past 9 years, at present we opperate our shop from March to October, 7 days a week and close for the remaining months as this is our choice.

We sell our own citrus and local grown produce, vegetables, peanuts, gifts, souvineers, clothes, crafts, real bean coffee and food. We are a tourist information centre for the travellers who want to stay and enjoy our beautiful region. There is great support from our local community and a continued support from travellers on the A 3 Highway, 'The Country Way'. We are often asked to open for a longer period, serve more variety of food and it has been suggested to open at night as a restaurant! The potential for all of this would be great, however it has been our choice to only opperate throughout the citrus season.

Gayndah is a friendly and safe place to live with a population with about 3000 people. There is a St Joseph's Primary School, State Primary School, Burnett State College and the Burnett Wide Bay Tafe College. Our town is the Administation Centre for the North Burnett Regional Council.

Gayndah has a vibrant citrus industry which employs an additional 500 to 1000 people each year to work in the citrus industry from March to October.
