A storeroom has been built at the back of the premises with a large extra new storeroom, 2 sections of large shelving space for alcohol and products required for the summer season, it also has 4 small freezers. A cleaner’s sink was also installed. The large outside area consists of 9 outdoor benches made locally using Australian hardwood, the outdoor area also has a children’s playground for customer use. The area also consist of tables & beaches under cover for extra sitting in summer or winter rains.
Currently the Merimbula tourism office is across the road on the foreshore. This is being re-located to be in the same block and a couple of doors from the cafe. This alone will bring thousands of tourists visiting the tourism office, right to the front door of the cafe - and a huge increase in customers.
There is a Facebook page called 'Sundeck Cafe' with over 1600 followers currently and growing.
